ABOUT MY BLOG

I have witnessed God do incredible things, such as give sight to the blind, restore crippled feet, free people of spiritual bondage and so much more! I created Vaya Con Elena as an avenue to share what He has done.

 

God called me to missions at a 5th grade summer camp. I began my missions journey at 16 years old in Costa Rica, with the organization Global Expeditions. It changed my life, my perspective, and my passion has only grown since. At 17 years old, on a mission trip in Panama, God called me to nursing and medical missions. I got very sick on this trip, it was a 2 hour boat ride and 7 hour bus ride to the nearest medical care. God spoke to me in that moment and said "I want you to bring medical care to these places". The next morning I woke up feeling so much better as God had touched and healed my body. 

 

God has put an emphasis in my heart for South and Central America, many of my trips are to these countries. That is also where the title for this site originates, the phrase Vaya Con Dios or Go With God is what inspired me. As I go with God and serve where I am called I encourage you to seek where He may be calling you. He may call you to invite people into your home, to go next door, to move across the country or to travel to a different one. We are called to bring His glory in all things and in all places. I hope to encourage your faith as you read about the great things God continues to do.
